The contrast with the black steel on the sides is exactly what makes this combination work: two materials that are completely honest about what they are, placed side by side so each one makes the other look better.

The soffits and exposed overhangs are painted Black Beauty to match the steel, which ties the roofline into the walls and keeps the whole structure reading as one deliberate thing rather than a collection of separate parts.
